Steven Tripp is joined by Campbelltown City Councillor Adam Zahra and Let’s Rethink Renewables President Katy McCallum as they travel through Gympie, Wide Bay and the South Burnett to hear directly from communities living alongside large-scale renewable energy developments.
In Day 2 of the tour, the focus turns to the South Burnett, where local residents share their experiences of nearby wind projects and discuss concerns about environmental impacts, property values, quality of life and the broader effects on rural communities. The episode also visits the Woolooga Solar project, where Katy McCallum discusses the changes residents say the development has brought to the area.
